I was debating the possibility of a special Halloween-type comic, but I decided against it for a couple reasons. One, it seems that we're going to be getting into an integral part of the present storyline around then, so I'd be foolish to break up the continuity at such a time. And two, for the life of me, I can't come up with a satisfactory costume for Candy. I was considering Black Mamba from Kill Bill, but I didn't want anyone to get confused with a second sword-wielder added suddenly. Even though the actual comic never panned out, I did make these costume sketches. Since you may not recognize all of the references, for your edification, here is the key:

Caleb - Homestar Runner
Skunk - Conan O'Brien
Ariel - Aeris (from Final Fantasy VII)
Buster - Stewie (from Family Guy)
Poindexter - Spongebob Squarepants

A day late, yes, but I did happen upon an idea for Candy. She's Alice from American McGee's Alice, artistically the best game I've ever played. I briefly mentioned Alice in a rant about six months ago, but no one ever reads those things, so I'll say what I said again. If you can get the game for ten bucks at your local Wal-Mart like I did, get it. It's worth it just so you can gape at its dystopianism for a while.
